Superintendent's Update

Thank you, Perkins Community!

We are extremely pleased and happy for what this levy passage means to the thousands of Perkins students, their families, and for our entire community.

We are so thankful to the voters who came out to support this levy and invest in keeping our schools and our community strong.

We are thankful for the large number of individuals, businesses, and organizations that stepped up and supported the campaign efforts with dollars and time – and helped get the message out in countless ways.

We are grateful to have had energetic and dedicated volunteers, who gave countless hours to help make phone calls, go door to door, write letters, adopt voters, raise needed funds, and get the word out on social media – and in every manner possible.

Finally, we are particularly thankful for the commitment of the Perkins Schools’ administration, staff and Board who have never given up on our students or our community. We are immensely appreciative of these professionals who are dedicated to providing a superior education to the children we serve.

We will continue our innovative educational practices, such as our rigorous mathematics program to prepare students to reason, engage in higher order thinking, and solve real world problems in the 21st century; our one-of-a-kind design lab that will infuse the arts and design with problem-based educational exploration; and sustain our partnership with the Ohio Department of Education as one of the first districts to implement Ohio’s Early Literacy Plan. These are just a sampling of the many initiatives underway to enhance the educational experience of all of our students.
