To the Perkins Local Schools Parents, Guardians, and Community:
After taking time to reflect the last several weeks, I want to inform you of my intent to retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year – more specifically, July 31, 2023.
It has been an honor and privilege to serve in this capacity for the last five years, and I will be forever grateful. The Board is expected to act on my retirement at the Wednesday, February 8, meeting.
It is difficult for me to believe that I have reached this stage of my career. I am grateful for the trust that our district family placed in me to lead as superintendent. The time has come for me to allow our Board of Education the necessary time and commitment to move forward.
A special “thank you” to those who have built positive relationships with our family both internally and externally during my tenure. We are grateful!
There is much work to be done as this district moves forward with academic performance, facilities, and the day-to-day operational challenges that will necessitate attention. I will continue that journey until my last day.
Meantime, this school district has the talent in place to keep moving forward. These are exciting times for Perkins Local Schools. The positive momentum of living “above the line” will have a direct impact for years to come.
Respectfully,
Todd D. Boggs
Superintendent, Perkins Local School District
