Staples Donates Supplies To Furry, Meadowlawn Students

Furry Principal Jenn Yost, Staples GM Paul Schoen, and students from Furry Elementary.

Paul Schoen, the general manager at Staples Sandusky, dropped by Furry Elementary and Meadowlawn Intermediate School on Wednesday to provide boxes of school supplies to each student.

The boxes contained pencils, pens, a ruler, and other supplies. Staples customers donate $5 to buy each of the boxes, which are then donated to area schools.

A total of 816 boxes were donated to Perkins Schools.

“It’s a community project we do at Staples,” Mr. Schoen said. “We get to choose who we wanted to donate the supplies to.”

In addition to Perkins Schools, Staples also donated supplies to students at Bellevue, Port Clinton, and Huron schools.

Mr. Schoen is a familiar face to some Perkins students. He is the father of PHS senior Keegan Schoen and is an assistant wrestling coach for Perkins High School.
