The 6th and 7th grade Briar Middle School Academic Challenge teams placed first on Thursday, December 2, in the Quad County Championships and beat championship teams from Erie, Huron, Ottawa, and Sandusky counties.
The 6th Grade team members are (left to right in photo below) Brennan Swartz, Reese Hykes, Anders Van Ness, Ty Obergefell, Hunter Heck, Blake Harbal.
The 7th Grade team members are: Tavi Dillender, River Hykes, Alex Preston, Lucy Miller, Colton Kelley, Ian Krecic.
The Academic Challenge teams are advised by teacher Mary Darr.
"I'm so proud of our kids," said Briar Principal Jeff Thom. "Kudos to Mrs. Darr for being such a wonderful leader to our students."
