Perkins Schools Continuity Plan For The 2021-2022 School Year

The Perkins Local School District is grateful and appreciates the support from our parents and guardians, faculty, and staff, and community stakeholders amid the continuing pandemic. Perkins Schools will continue to strive for unsurpassed educational opportunities so every student may achieve their greatest potential.

Below is the plan for instruction for the 2021-2022 school year, and information about protocols and procedures. Students, staff, and families must keep in mind that the district must be flexible if the situation dictates.

  1. Perkins Schools will proceed with in-person instruction while offering a remote option for students and families who may not be comfortable with in-person learning. The district will be prepared to pivot to a remote learning option if needed or mandated. Contact tracing and quarantining will be employed through the Erie County Health Department in cooperation with our school district.
  2. Face coverings and masks will be a personal choice and not mandatory in the classrooms and throughout the facilities. We encourage caution and safety as in the past.
  3. Students riding buses must wear face masks per order issued by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Perkins Schools students, staff, and families did an excellent job last year as the district navigated through an unfamiliar pandemic. The district expects to do the same for this upcoming year, keeping a safe environment with cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting protocols.
