Homecoming 2023 Schedule Announced
Perkins Local Schools will celebrate a "Pirates Are Out Of This World" Homecoming 2023 during the week of Monday, October 2, through Saturday, October 7. Activities will take place in all four of the district's schools.
And new this year, the parade and coronation will be on Thursday night, and enable all high school athletes to participate. (Previously, when the parade has been on Friday before the game, football players could not participate because they were preparing for the game.)
The coronation ceremony will be at the start of the bonfire in the yard south of Firelands Health Stadium at the conclusion of the parade. The public is invited to participate in the parade and bonfire.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the Erie County Fairgrounds. The parade will go south on Columbus Avenue, turn right (west) on Marshall Avenue, left (south) on South Ave, and then through the Briar Middle School parking lot. The parade will end at the back of Briar for float clean up. A trash can will be provided.
School clubs and groups interested in participating in the parade can register by completing this form.
